My Story

Ryan Deras, a.k.a Arco the Funky Alien, was born into a family of producers, djs, and dancers. He started out at a very young age dancing and mixing on his dads turn tables.

Eventually, by the time he was 7, he we was given Reason 3 and had his first taste at producing. At 9, he finally made a true effort to try and get more of an understanding of producing by experimenting with the program. By 12 years old, he was fully emerged into the producing aspect and started wanting that to be his life. By 14 he was now in high school and really far into producing, already having made quite a few songs of many different genres.

From 18-23, the Arco the Funky Alien persona was established and had been releasing music on youtube and soundcloud for a while, but had hopes of starting a label to release music officially for the world to hear. And in February of 2020, the Spirit Animals Records label was finally established, and Arcos' music began to spread out on streaming services all around. Eventually Ryan retired the alias Arco the Funky Alien after the release of his album Cali Flav Vol. 3. Ryan retired this alias because he had two other personas already that he made music under. (Bboy Ninja, Omnipotent & Omnipresent)
